WattBench is operated for an EU audience and this policy is written to meet GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) requirements. This is a static website with no user accounts, no server-side database, and no comment system — here's exactly what that means for your data.

What we process, and on what legal basis

Theme and language preference: stored only in your browser's localStorage (keys wattbench-theme and wattbench-lang). Neither ever leaves your device or is transmitted to us — this isn't personal data processing on our end at all.

Analytics: none are active by default.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link to a retailer, that retailer's own privacy policy and cookies apply once you land on their site — not this one.

Your rights under GDPR

Because this site doesn't collect personal data server-side, most GDPR data-subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) have nothing to act on here. If that changes — e.g. a contact form or analytics is added — this section must be updated to explain how to exercise those rights, and a route to contact your national supervisory authority must be provided.
